HEPA filter is a highly efficient particle trap. The UV lamp performs disinfection using ultraviolet rays. Microbial creatures as small as viruses in the air, food or water are destroyed by UV rays. Especially in end product tanks, sterile air inlet is provided automatically/semi-automatically with HEPA filter and UV lamp combinations to ensure that atmospheric tanks receive clean/sterile air. The entry of dust, insects and microorganisms originating from the environment into the tank is prevented by a coarse filter, hepa filter and optionally a UV barrier.
