Heraclitus, the fourth of the Ionian philosophers, thought to have lived between 540–480 BC, said “panta rhei” — “everything flows.” For him, the universe and life never stand still; they are in constant motion, constant change. In today's world, where time flows by like water and change arrives wave after wave, staying as we are is almost against the law.
In constant development and growth since its founding in 2002, Orbit seems to greet Heraclitus from the present day and confirm his hypothesis: panta rhei.
On the journey it has set out on, Orbit is preparing for profound change; a journey that began in a small workshop is evolving toward a corporate structure. We are migrating our digital infrastructure to the globally recognized SAP Business One ERP system. By reorganizing our organizational chart, we are bringing the authorities and duties of positions together under one roof, building a measurable, reportable and predictable system. Sustainability, quality, efficiency and performance are taking their place in the Orbit world.
Orbit had come to a crossroads: it would either continue with the old system and its problems, or evolve into a new structure built with a rational approach. We chose the second option: a complete digital transformation supported by a professional consulting team.
In this transformation process, the task that falls to all of us is to embrace the new system with patience and to remedy any shortcomings together. With this perspective, I invite all our employees to show the effort and will needed to reach our shared goal. Wishing that this great transformation we have begun is completed successfully…
